    An
    Antique Letter from Londonderry, New Hampshire.
    Dated October 29th, 1808 from Joseph Gregg to Samuel Gregg of Boston, Massachusetts. Includes talk of a business proposal for 'turning washing machines.'
    From the 19th century Papers and Documents of the Estate of Washington Parker Gregg (1803-1892) of Boston, Massachusetts. The collection also included some early 19th century pieces from his father, the noted American inventor, Samuel Gregg.
    An important Boston figure who was the clerk of the Common Council.
    Gregg began his career as a member of the bar and was a practicing lawyer in the City of Boston before becoming a clerk of the Common Council and celebrated forty years of service in 1882. Washington Parker Gregg died in 1892.
    Good vintage condition. No noticeably offensive odors or damage. Normal age and use wear present. In good shape overall.
