    1835 Stampless Letter: From Archibald C. Niven, Monticello, New York, smeared postmark, manuscript 25 to John T. Brazee, Esquire Counsellor at Law Lancaster, Ohio. John T. Brazee (1800-1880) was a long time lawyer/farmer in Lancaster, Ohio. He served in the Ohio Senate 1856-1857. Author Archibald Campbell Niven (1803-1882) Surrogate of Sullivan County, NY 1828-1840; Adjutant General of New York 1844. He served in the United States House of Representatives 1845-1847 as a Democrat. From 1847-1850 he was District Attorney for Sullivan County and a member of the New York Senate 1864-1865. He is sending Brazee money in some form [not present] in some kind of payment for Samuel Wells. Sent folded. Congressional signature.
