    2 Letters from Rev. Morgan Dix of Trinity Church, NY, son of Civil Major General John Dix, for whom Ft. Dix is named, both in ink manuscript and signed by Rev. Dix:
    Undated letter to "Dear Sir" regretting inability to furnish copy of Sermon published after the "attack on Sumter", WITH photocopy of title page of that sermon published in NY in 1861 on Sermon (presumably the one cited in the 2d letter below regarding Lincoln's assassination); the Sumter sermon, offered by Rev. Dix in this letter, "God's Way in a Storm", "Preached in Saint Paul's Chapel, New York, Third Sunday After Easter, April 21, 1861".

    Letter dated Aug. 12th, 1865 to a Mr. Bartlett promising to have a copy of his assassination sermon forwarded to Bartlett.
