    1985 is  the year the original My Child doll was introduced. Boxes are dated 1987.    My Child dolls were developed by Mattel to compete with Coleco's popular Cabbage Patch Kids. They had a very short production run, ending around 1988, explaining the low number of dolls produced.
    Hard to find  Hispanic.
    Please look at the photos carefully as they form part of her description.
    She is wearing her original Party Dress with smocked bodice,  heart pin, bow and rose, lace trimmed sleeves & hem , a PAMPERS disposable diaper, Matching white Panties, Original white Shoes & lacy socks. I took her out of the box to show her lovely dark brown curly  hair, mid part with 2 front short ponies  tied with white ribbons, original Comb & Brush, My Child booklet & paperwork is enclosed.
    New in  Box - Box is in very good condition - with slight shelf wear.
    The box states "Every child in the My Children collection has bright eyes, soft skin and is fully poseable - MATTEL".  "Doll made in China / Brush, Comb and shoes made in HONG KONG / diaper made in USA.
