    Description

Early Copy of The Wright Brothers Work Diary Sketch Of The First Flying Machine. Orville Wrights diary excerpt and Wilbur Wrights sketch have been at the Smithsonian for a while. I talked to them about it and forget exactly when they received it, but I think they said 1950’s. I presume these copies are from before that, since the Smithsonian knew nothing of reproduced copies being made. The ledger or what ever the yellow thing is, could be legit, according to experts I showed it to, but it would be hard to tell for sure. There used to be glass in this frame until a few years ago when I brought it to an antique shop and someone broke the glass, soon after the two main pieces fell free from the tape and glue that held it on.
    The frame measures 19” x 13”
The copy of Orville Wrights diary from December 17, 1903 measures 6” x 5”
The copy of Wilbur Wrights sketch of the first flying machine measures 9 1/8” x 8 7/8” with the bottom left corner folded back
