Fine Handpainted Asian Porcelain Enameled Copper Box Birds Cherry Blossoms Lotus

Description

Stunning handpainted porcelain enameled copper round box.  The exterior has a scene of water birds, cherry blossoms in bloom, and floating lotus as the center focus of the top.  The edge of both the bottom and top is a lime green with handpainted pink flowers, green leaves, and yellow flourishes.  The interior is a speckled green enameling on both the top and bottom.
The box measures 5" across and is 1 1/2" thick.  There is extremely little wear to the enameling, if any.  There are no large chips or dings to the piece - it truly is stunning.  The colors are bright and vibrant.
I do not know if this box is of Japanese or Chinese origin.  It is unsigned, but the detailed painting is magnificent.  The box is heavy for its size.  It is not a cheaply made item.
