    Description

For bid is an original Marcy  15, 16, 17, 1940 souvenir MENU from the "Special Train for the World Premiere of 'Virginia City' Warner Brothers Picture Starring Errol Flynn and Miriam Hopkins Virginia City and Reno."  This is a four-panel menu from a Southern Pacific railroad train carrying the movie stars and motion picture movie executives to Virginia City and Reno, Nevada for the world premiere of the movie!  Humphrey Bogart was probably on this train, too.  This is a four-panel menu card with food items listed on the third panel.  There is Virginia City historical information printed on the back with comic illustrations, dates, pieces of special information, etc. There is a card game illustration on the front cover of the menu, a game of "Far
o" played in a Victorian casino or saloon.  "The Days of '49 - A Faro Game."
This is a GREAT piece of motion picture / movie history from 1940!  It's a very rare menu.
Hole punched in the upper left corner through both panels of the menu card.
