    Rosenburg, Oregon - (FORT BROWN) LETTER 1882
    Letter - 2-1/2 pages written to Lt. W.C. Brown in regards to building a wagon road known as the Fort Brown Route - A Military road from Rosenburg to Fort Klamath.  They sent a petition to Col. Whipple, Senator Grover.  Also fifteen thousand for old road Fort Umpqua to Camp Steward.  Signed by  R.L. Cavitt who was the guide for engineers of the road.
    Envelope comes with letter - Lt. Brown, 2nd U.S. Cavalry
    Bvt. For Battle of Big Creek, Idaho against Indians.
