On the outside corners, it was made with inlays, and the one on the front lid corner, is sticking out a bit. Please notice photos. Cover doesn't shut tightly on the same corner. Green tarnish on the inside hinges. It is solid and not falling apart.

    Description

    Small hand carved Chinese wooden jewelry box with carved ships on the cover. The corners are inlayed, with carvings. Small wooden feet on the bottom. Nice detailed carvings along the edges. It's not perfect, and has it's own character flaws. Made out of wood, and estimating it to be from the 30's - to mid 40's. Made in China. China started marking their products made in China in 1919 for import into the USA.
    * Some of the nails have been replaced, and covered with a wood putty. Has some chips and nicks, and the one on the front corner, also has been filled with wood putty.
