Vintage Asian Chinese Black Lacquerware Jewelry Box.
Black square Chinese jewelry box with
a painted
Chinese character and a colorful motif circling around it.
The painting, composition, and shape
are very symmetrical.
The painting on the lid appears in layers and
has the base color for the background is gold.
The box measure 4" at each side
and stands 2" tall.
In vintage condition, shows some wear:
there are chips, scuff marks on the glaze of the box.
In addition, some places along the edges and
the corners of the box the paint has chipped
away from use and age.
