Vintage Chinese Blue & White Porcelain 4 Tier Stacking Square Food Box in excellent condition!
This hand painted set of four stacking porcelain dishes was typically used to carry and serve small food items. Each of the dishes alternates a pattern with flowers, birds and/or ducks. The lid repeats the various designs on the dishes and is topped with a matching porcelain finial. The dishes have ridges and flanges that fit together tightly. They have cut unglazed foot rings that reveal a refined off-white clay. The bases of the four dishes are glazed. The overall glaze is a nice white which feels very thick and smooth. Piece is very heavy, weighing just under 7 pounds.
There is a six character Reign mark on the bottom.
Measures approximately 6½  x  6½  x  8 inches tall.
