ZENITH CHAIRSIDE RADIO FOR SALE
MODEL 6-S-239 / ch 5638
HERE'S A BEAUTIFUL MID-CENTURY ZENITH CHAIRSIDE READY FOR RESTORATION.    THE SHELL IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH NO MAJOR FLAWS.
THE CHAIRSIDE COMES WITH THE TOP "MAGAZINE / DRINK" ADDITION THAT COVERS THE SPEAKER.   THE ZENITH GRAPHIC IS PRISTINE AND THE KNOBS ARE ALL EXCELLENT.    CIRCLE GLASS IS GOOD.   HARD TO BELIEVE THIS RADIO IS 80 YEARS OLD.

SO WHAT WILL YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET IT WORKING?
WE HAD OUR TECH GO OVER THIS UNIT AND HE SAYS THAT THE CHASSIS NEEDS TO BE RECAPPED.   HE THOUGHT ALL THE TUBES WERE GOOD.   THE POWER CORD SHOULD PROBABLY BE REPLACED.  IT WORKS BUT IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED.    THE BUYER WILL NEED A DIFFERENT FIELD COIL SPEAKER.   THE ONE NOW IN THE RADIO HAS A BAD FIELED.
ON THE "MAGAZINE / DRINK" TOP .... TWO OF THE FOUR WOOD PEGS ARE MISSING BUT THE UNIT WORKS HOLDS WELL  WITHOUT THEM.   SEE THE LAST GALLERY PHOTO.
