in Memory of the Holocaust Victims,
illustrated by Pinchas Schuldenrein.
Titled in Hebrew:
“Yizkor 1900-1945”
Alongside a quote from Psalms:
"
For he that avengeth blood hath remembered them
"-
in the Jewish liturgy this is included in a memorial
prayer for victims of pogroms and edicts, recited
prior to returning the Torah scroll to the Ark.
Illustrated with many scenes depicting the
suffering of the Jews during the holocaust
within the number

Designed by Pinchas Schuldenrein in the
Zeilsheim DP camp in postwar Germany.
The artwork depicts scenes from a Nazi -
era Ghetto; the sign on the left, in German:
"
Residential area for Jews; trespassing forbidden
"
Published by P. Schuldenrein printing, Germany.
Pinchas Schuldenrein, later Paul Sharon,
was born in 1912 and died in 1998.
